BIG SHANE SUCCESS LADDER
Big Shane owner and founder of his own label “Cut The Check Entertainment”
inspired by dirty south icons such as Cash Money and Swishahouse brings
classic hip hop club heat with poppy snares and huge rattling bass kicks.
Born overseas in Taegu, South Korea to a military family, his father was
often absent from the home due to military obligations, which cause him to
mature into manhood quickly and stand out from the rest of his peers. Big
Shane has built a buzz for himself not just locally but abroad without any
help of any management, promotional or marketing team. Since a young age
Shane has always been a wise businessman whether it was music, fashion,
networking or everyday life, he was determined to succeed. Big Shane's
musically influences come from the likes of Southern rap stars such as UGK,
Cash Money, No Limit Records, Swishahouse, and Trill Ent., and also many hot
indie artist from around the nation. He released his first underground
project entitled “I Hold My Own” in 2006. This is where he started his grind
while hustling Cd's by hand in the streets, to local schools, and to anyone
he heard listening to Hip Hop music. Shane also frequented local corner
stores that were supportive of him and his music in the beginning by asking
for help in pushing his music to the street. He was labeled a local
celebrity and since them he has been destined to succeed in the music
industry. Fast forward, 2yrs later Shane started his on music
group/entertainment label “Cut the Check Entertainment” (C.T.C. Ent.). Full
filling his dreams of owning a music company he began to network with people
locally and internationally while studying different businesses and learning
diverse skills in the entertainment industry. While completing his studies
Shane worked hard on other musical projects and decided to start his own
modeling team which consisted of female models aka “C.T.C. Models” which
have been featured in many videos including major artists such as; Mike
Jones, R. Kelly, Paul Wall, Ray J, Slim Thug and many more, including
magazines and calender photo shoots, where they advertised “C.T.C Int.”
apparel, while supporting there personal efforts and the music label/group.
Make no mistake even with the big name and buzz that Shane has built for
himself he's about more than just music and modeling he does overseas
promotions and bookkeeping for many artist around the world. Hard work pays
off, he has the connections, the energy and the drive, so why wouldn't he be
a successful businessman? “There are many who label themselves as rappers
and hard workers, but don't really know what it means and never take the
time and effort to do things,” says Big Shane. “Most people only know what
they hear and see on TV but that takes hard work and determination , thats
why I labeled myself a rapper and musician.” From traveling overseas and
state to state, Big Shane was the FIRST American musician to ever be
featured on the Arab Times Press,for his music accomplishments which
attracted the attention of many other big news outlets, including CNN. Big
Shane has been busy, being featured /interviewed on many on line magazine
sites, press releases, and on line/mainstream radio. In 2007 he introduced
himself to the public eye and released the CTC single “Shoulda Pop” which
impacted heavily in the clubs and online. He hosted various mixtapes with
different djs including; DJ Lexus (France) “Breakin Thru Volume 3” & “Texas
Takedown” with DJ Ames (UK).Hewas featured on over 425 mixtapes worldwide,
major or minor projects check the track listings you will see Big Shane's
name. This lead to a release of club, mixtape and radio cds called “CTC DJS”
with various djs from the U.S. to Overseas markets in 2008. As well as shows
and performances in various cities and states.Shane was a featured
headlining artist at the DUB V Fest in West Virginia, with major recording
artist Baby Boy the Prince. Keeping his eyes on the prize, 2009 has been a
very busy year, Shane released a warning shot "I Hold My Own Pt. 2” the mix
tape itself reached over 250k on line downloads, and over 10,000 units
flooded the streets. Not the one to stop,Shane released his club single
“Dope Boy Fresh” feat. Lil Cali which is heavily impacting the streets,
clubs and radio waves. His street anthem “Cocaine Music” is on repeat from
the club to the streets, he dropped “International Grind time Volume 2” with
Archie Eversole (known for his hit singe “We Ready”) the mix tape received
over 300k downloads in its first week. Fast forward 4 weeks later Shane
drops another mix tape “International Grind time Volume 3” feat. Tum Tum aka
Tumzilla from Dallas TX. Its October and the year is far from over Big Shane
plans to release “International Grind time" feat Blood Raw, formerly of
Jezzy's label CTE/Def Jam Records. At such a young age Big Shane is very
intelligent, hard working and ambitious. Whatever he is apart of be it music
or business ventures he will work to to get the job done. One song which is
featured on his solo project, entitled, “God Forgive Me”, he goes on the
introspective by reflecting on all the bad things in his past, the hard
times between him and his family and he apologizes to his mother for the
things he has done in the past. A catchy hook and a symphonic tune, anyone
who has or is going through rough times, or is living with regrets can
relate and will love the song. With all of his hard work, hustle and
determination who knows what the future holds for Big Shane. One thing is
for certain, he will continue to work long and hard until he is satisfied
with the outcome. When you hear the name Big Shane or see the C.T.C. Ent.
Logo in a magazine, on television or on billboards know that Big Shane is
behind it and he wont stop working harder than the next person until he has
achieved his goals. Obtaining support from many major artist, music
executives, A&R's, and a variety of DJ's worldwide, Big Shane at the young
age of 22 is destined to climb the success ladder.
